Click new topic icon to post a new topic to the forum.

Click the icons within the message fields to report to the monitor, print the message or navigate to the
top or the bottom of the page.

Use the ‘
Reply
’ and ‘
Quote
’ hyperlinks to create a normal reply or a reply containing the quoted text of
the message to which they are replying. When preparing a reply, the responder has the opportunity to
add the topic to his favorites and to subscribe to the topic.

You may edit their own messages and re-post them. Changes appear on other users screens when
newly opened or refreshed.

Only an administrator will see and be able to click the ‘
Deactivate
’ hyperlink and prevent any further
messages on the topic. He can also reverse this subsequently with ‘
Activate
’.

You will see and can click a ‘
MarkAsAnswer
’ hyperlink to place a check mark on the answer you
perceive to be the correct one. You can also reverse this subsequently with ‘
UnMarkAsAnswer
’.
9.
Enter text in the Quick Reply field and click
Preview
to preview the message in a popup Window or
Post
to execute the posting.
An Administrator can set up ‘Noise words’ (bad language) which are likely to be offensive and
unacceptable in the message postings in your Knowledge Forum. If you use one of these words in your
attempted posting, it will be rejected immediately – but you can modify the message and re-post it – so you
will not lose all you have typed! See

6.5.1.1 Example of the effect of ‘Noise’ words
An Administrator can set up ‘Noise words’ (bad language) which are likely to be offensive and unacceptable
in the message postings in your Knowledge Forum. For example, you try to post a message with the noise
word ‘scum’:
